We used to go to my friends Angelo’s house and listen to R.E.M and Coldplay while talking about politics. The world was a different place back then. The nineties bro, the nineties! I remember that I was only 14 when Kurt Cobain was found death. I remember crying for hours trying to understand why one of my heroes was gone like that. No, social networking it’s not my thing, I wonder what it is. Later on, we switched plugs and became more radical, more energized with rage and discontent. The truth is that the music revolution we witnessed as teenagers growing in an obscure land was the last one… and we were there! It’s fair to say that we survived because of the idea of that music; because of the inspiration we found in those lyrics. It’s fair to say that we were definitely in love! Some of us “evolved” to become more Korn-System of a down- Linkin Park type, I couldn’t.
